19th Century Boxwood and Ebonized Base Tea Caddy, English, circa 1820

19th century boxwood and ebonized base tea caddy in the form of a flower with a dome glass panel which holds a small bouquet of dried flowers. The interior is all original with remnants of a lead lining date circa 1820.

A rare box for cigarettes or cheroots but lends itself to be a good looking table or desk piece. The interior is poplar and has a cushion closure, this item would make a perfect gift.
