19th Century Boxwood and Ebonized Base Tea Caddy, English, circa 1820

19th century boxwood and ebonized base tea caddy in the form of a flower with a dome glass panel which holds a small bouquet of dried flowers. The interior is all original with remnants of a lead lining date circa 1820.

This cast silver and guilloche enamel frame is in excellent condition. The concave shape actually enhances the enamel also the under decoration to the silver corners makes this a very attractive frame. Origin America.
