19th Century Boxwood and Ebonized Base Tea Caddy, English, circa 1820

19th century boxwood and ebonized base tea caddy in the form of a flower with a dome glass panel which holds a small bouquet of dried flowers. The interior is all original with remnants of a lead lining date circa 1820.

The silver plated hinged head is complete with the original eyes bring it to life and the glass body is in perfect condition. The hinged head has a gilded interior as shown.
