19th Century Boxwood and Ebonized Base Tea Caddy, English, circa 1820

19th century boxwood and ebonized base tea caddy in the form of a flower with a dome glass panel which holds a small bouquet of dried flowers. The interior is all original with remnants of a lead lining date circa 1820.

Fitted as a shoe box with a leather flap on the leading edge suitable for hanging while this piece is used. The canvas exterior is in excellent condition with all the Goyard markings the brass mounts and hinges are all stamped. The interior opens to reveal multiple pockets for shoe storage in a soft felt. A truly great piece.
