19th Century Boxwood and Ebonized Base Tea Caddy, English, circa 1820

19th century boxwood and ebonized base tea caddy in the form of a flower with a dome glass panel which holds a small bouquet of dried flowers. The interior is all original with remnants of a lead lining date circa 1820.

A rare & impressive sculptural bowl designed by G. Giugiaro for Sabattini Argenteria & dated 1991. Superb dynamic free flowing form which embodies a beautiful ultra modern sculptural centerpiece. Crafted from the finest quality polished silver-plate typical of Lino Sabattini. Notably Giorgetto Giugiaro is famous as an Italian automobile designer & was named Car Designer of the Century 1999 and inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame in 2002.
