Large Antique Crocodile Photograph Frame with sterling silver mounts Maker Henry Charles Richarde, London 1900. 

This Nile Crocodile frame is in excellent condition. It’s impressive scale and the quality, hallmarked silver corners set it apart. 

The border is 2” wide & the crocodile skin has been applied to a bullnose edge which has been emphasised with the silversmith’s work.

 Examples like this piece were mainly sold in luxury London stores during this period such as Thornhill & Co London SW1 or Finnigans Bond St London, & Asprey Bros.
